We will discuss implementing and configuring a Linux server as a home server for file and print services as well as network services and share experiences in using Linux as a home server. A short demo Slampp 2.0.1 will be used to get the conversation started as it is featured in the October issue of Linux Magazine and share experiences in using Linux . Conversation would not be limited to Slammp but could also include ClarkConnect and other solutions.

About the presenter

Clint Tinsley (Lionbridge)

Clint Tinsley is an IT System Engineer with over 25 years of experience in supporting PC hardware, servers, networks, end user applications and has written code for a number of applications. He is currently employed as a Build System Engineer where his duties not only include an extensive virtualized build system environment but also includes supporting code written in C#, Python, Perl, PHP and .NET. Clint has been active participant in the Boise user community as past President of the Idaho PC Users Group, author of many articles and presentations, and he is founder of the Boise Linux Group, Boise's oldest continually meeting Linux User group.
