I would like to introduce beginners to HDR photography http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/High_dynamic_range_imaging using the digital cameras they already have, and open source software.
We will touch on both how to take the source images, as well as how to create a final HDR image. Users will be encouraged to bring their cameras to help relate to the settings / functions used to shoot the source images. (Obviously we cannot go individually and show each person how to find each setting as cameras vary by manufacturer, but they could attempt to follow along and relate the example to their own equipment)
The second part would involve showing a live demo of how an HDR image is created using qtfpsgui http://qtpfsgui.sourceforge.net/about.php
The end goal is users will learn the basic steps to get started, and have a desire to go out there and try it!
Beginner level, no prior photography experience required.
