ffmpeg is an amazing suite of command-line tools and program APIs for working with images, audio and video data. Whether you're converting a DVD video to a format compatible with a portable media player, extracting the audio from video data, or just learning the specifics of a particular multimedia file, the ffmpeg suite does nearly everything.

This presentation will explore many of the various capabilities of the ffmpeg suite of programs and libraries. Attendees will learn how to use ffmpeg to create video files for use with common portable media players, how to use video capture devices, and how to deal with various multimedia file types.
