About the presenter

Eliott Spencer (Arrival Telecom)

Eliott is the co-founder and president of Arrival Telecom, a leading locally operated VoIP provider, routing millions of minutes of VoIP phone calls a month using Open Source telephony components. Eliott's 5 year experience deploying Asterisk, SER, and Kamailio comes via a circuitous route. Having first obtained a PhD in Biochemistry from BYU and serving A three year post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Utah, co-founding the Utah Cord Bank, serving as a scientific consultant for Icon Fitness, and claiming to have run a gerbil dairy until he was forced to retire early due to carpal tunnel syndrome (and running out of q-tips and Vaseline) he now spends his days finessing code to allow disparate commercial and FOSS systems to speak SIP to each other.
