This presentation would cover how to make a screencasts under Linux using Kdenlive. It would go over the actual capturing of the video itself, the voice-over recording, transitions, and rendering out to a file. This presentation will also be useful for anyone wanting to learn how to do general video editing under Linux.
I’ve had about ten years of experience with open source software and have been using Linux exclusively for the last few years. Currently I run Ubuntu Linux, but I have been an administer of CentOS and Debian servers. I work for Nexus Computers Inc (in southeast Idaho) as an innovator, information officer, and network administrator. I also work as the project lead of phpTimeClock. I started the Rexburg Open Source Users Group and teach there on a weekly basis.
