There are many statistical analyses that can be applied to free software projects to help gain insight into the people involved your community, areas that are growing quickly, and groups that are struggling, as well as visualizing your user base. Most of these can be automated fairly simply, but many projects don't take the time to deal with it.
In this presentation, not only will ideas for analyzing your community and project be discussed, but quick and simple ways to get started will also be demonstrated.
Senior in high school who has contributed to the Fedora Project since February 2008 (sophomore year), appointed title of Fedora Wiki Czar, and was an intern at Red Hat (under Community Architecture) the summer before his senior year.
